Bendita Sea el Agua

  • "Bendita Sea el Agua" which translates to "blessed be the water" in English, is a screenprint on Rives BFK paper. The dark blue texture was created by burning a velvetone graphite drawing into a screen. This print features a water jug, a contemporary icon for undocumented immigration, adorned with traditional Mexican embroidery patterns. For many immigrants making the undocumented journey across the Mexico-U.S. border, water is their only hope for survival.
